Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is it dangerous?

A. Not at all. All of our scenarios and games have been specially designed to provide the highest quality enjoyment at the lowest possible risk.

Beginners, especially, have no need to worry, as all players new to the game are paired up with an experienced player until they are comfortable.

Q. What will I need for my first scenario/woodsball game?

A. You will need:

  • Yourself
  • A friend (optional)
  • A bottle of water and a snack
  • Clothes you don't mind getting dirty or stained
  • Paintball mask, marker, barrel plug, CO2 or HPA tank
  • Paintballs, CO2 or AIR
  • Neck guard, gloves, hockey cup (these three are for smart people ;)

You will not need:

  • A uniform (any old clothes will do but camouflage works best)
  • Any kind of fitness (everything can be taken at your own pace)
  • Any kind of experience (people new to the sport will be paired up with an experienced player)

Q. Will it hurt when I get hit by a paintball?

A. Maybe not the first or second time, but sooner or later it's going to really sting, but that only lasts for a few seconds. We make sure that players markers do not exceed 280 fps (feet per second) and that players are given the option of surrender when play gets too close.

Q. What is the age group for people who play scenario/woodsball?

A. 13 and up. We do not accept children under the age of 13, it is too young and a safety risk to the child and those around them. Paintball markers are not toys and should be treated with as much respect as a real weapon.

Even with some of the highest standards, we pride ourselves on NOT having an "elitist" policy, so whoever you are and whatever you're looking for, you are more than welcome to join the scenario/woodsball scene that is JTFpaintball.

Q. How much does it cost to play?

A. It can get pricey, but you don't need to go out and purchase high end electric markers or crazy expensive milsim markers, just borrow your friends marker, mask and tank and try it out. If you like it, start building your own kit one piece at a time. Once you have your paintball mask, marker, barrel plug and CO2 or HPA tank, the only thing you have to pay for is Air (or CO2) and paint.

So, whether you're looking to meet new friends, improve your paintball skills or even if you just want to get out for fresh air and good times, there’s something here for you.
